The blaze broke out at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Woodmere at a home on Mosher Avenue.
Responders arrived to find flames emanating from the rear of the residence.
All occupants were evacuated safely, while multiple fire departments, led by the Woodmere Fire Department, worked to extinguish the blaze.
The two injured firefighters declined medical treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The home suffered moderate structural damage and varying degrees of smoke, fire, and water damage.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad determined the fire was not suspicious, though the cause remains undetermined.
The investigation is ongoing.
